Club Member Erik Moeser recently announced that we’re excited to let everyone know that Elmbrook Rotary will be sponsoring another new young person as part of our association with Common Hope and her name is Yenifer Paola Chacon Garcia!  Yenifer is taking the place of Esvin Hernandez, who graduated from high school this past month. As many of you know, our intrepid Sergeant-at-Arms, Linda Edelstein traveled to Guatemala to meet both Esvin and Yenifer recently and was able to take part in celebrating Esvin's accomplishment.

How great would it be to continue the tradition started by Linda, and by having an Elmbrook Rotarian travel to Guatemala next November to celebrate Yenifer’s graduation?!  This is a wonderful opportunity for us to really connect with her and her family and if this is something you’re interested, please contact Linda for more information.

Linda will be making a presentation soon to talk about her experience, and afterwards, there will likely be no shortage of people who are looking to participate. And if a trip doesn’t work, then consider taking part in sponsoring a child through Common Hope — adding  to the 22 already on our list! Of course, you can always travel with the Vision Team to Guatemala in February for a rewarding experience week of international service above self. For information on our Guatemala Vision Team, I can provide details or just talk with any one of over a dozen Club Members who've taken part in this life-changing trip.
