Join the Rotary Straight Shooters Fellowship as we support the Potawatomi Area Council Boy Scouts of America 2024 Sporting Clays Classic on Friday, May 10. It will be fun afternoon including an optional 100-bird flurry shoot to warmup, lunch, 80 target sporting clays course, two bonus challenges on the course (triple brid throw & long bird), after shooting cocktails, snacks, raffles, live auction, and prizes. All supporting the the scouting programs on the Council.

ERC Highway Cleanup on State Hwy 59 (Greenfield Ave) from State Hwy 164 to Barker road to the east (approx. 2 miles).

Join the Rotary Straight Shooters fellowship for our monthly outing on Thursday, May 16. We'll enjoy a pleasant evening of fellowship and comradery while breaking clay targets at the Waukesha Gun Club. We'll shoot Sporting Clays from one of the two courses. Sportings Clays is similar to golf in that we walk the course in groups of 3 to 5 shooters and shoot pairs of clay targets from 10 - 16 stands along the course. The clays are thrown in various presentations. Scores are based on the number of clays that are broken (befor ethey hit the ground). Unlike golf however, the higher the score the better.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll shoot 5-Stand from one of the heated and covered houses at the Club.

We will meet at 4:30 p.m. in the clubhouse to check-in and then proceed to one of the four houses..

Guests and anyone new to shooting are welcome. We'll have seasoned members there to coach and help you. Shotguns and shells are avaialble for rent/purchase at the Club.

After shooting, we’ll gather at a nearby establishment for socializing, refreshments, and food.

BloomMKE is inviting Rotarians to help build some raised gardens with the mini grant money they received!  Below is the invite from Lisa:

I wanted to let you know that we’re getting ready to build the garden at the VA Hospital that your Rotary Club has generously funded!

We will be building four raised beds at Surgeon’s House, located on the VA Hospital grounds, next Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.  If you or anyone else from the Rotary Club would like to volunteer to help out with the building, we’d be delighted to have you.  We have all of the needed tools, equipment and a couple of local youth volunteers, but we can always use some extra hands.

No worries if you’re unavailable, but we definitely wanted to invite you!
