The 2021 Ride to End Polio occurred this year on Saturday, November 20, in Tucson, AZ. Complete information can be accessed at: This annual event is sponsored by the Rotary International Cycling2Serve Fellowship.
Elmbrook Rotary Club held its own version of the event on the same date. An intrepid group of cyclists took to the pavement to help end polio.  Riders included Mike Hogan, Greg Bonk, Mark Thurner, Doug Jacobson, Julie Couden, and Mark & Evonne Zalewski.  Also there to support the group were Karl Schulz, Dave Engle, Harry Farchmin, and event photographer Anne Klug.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this year's event.   So far $6,000 has been raised.  The amount, together with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation 2--for-1 match, results in $18,000 donated to this year's Ride to End Polio will enable more than 120,000 children to be vaccinated against polio. Demonstrating acommitment to the ideals of Rotary and to the communities we serve. the response of ERC Rotarians has been nothing short of astounding.  But then, it what we do as Rotarians.
There is still a few days left to donate. Donations to Polio Plus will also count as credits toward Paul Harris Fellow recognition.
