The Elmbrook Rotary Club continues to gain much from its "virtual meetings" via Zoom. In fact, the average weekly attendance is greater on Zoom than in-person meetings at the Western Racket Club in Elm Grove (to which meetings will return when possible).

To address security concerns, Zoom has upgraded its platform to Zoom 5.0.

Foremost among the security upgrades is end-to-end encryption, which puts an end to "Zoom bombing" and the stealing of information from CPUs. It is also now possible to choose which country's servers are utilized for routing Zoom meetings (i.e., eliminate the servers in China).

All authenticated users of the Zoom software must upgrade no later than May 31, 2020. ERC members are advised to upgrade as soon as possible (whether on desktop, tablet, or smart phone) via www.zoom.us.
