Get your Packer Raffle Tickets! Tickets can be purchased at the Rotary Table at the Brookfield Farmers Market on Saturdays from 7:30am to noon. Every year the ERC partners with the Wellpoint Care Network to provide Books for Kids. This year 300 plus books were donated by the Club, with 6 members volunteering to spend a few hours reading to the kids at Wellpoint. Thank you Jack Hill, Rick Chabot, Jack and Kim Nelson and Greg and Jeanne Bonk!
Back to School Supplies Drive – Every year mid-summer, the Club collects supplies and donations from its members. This year $1,400 worth of supplies were donated as well as a number of Teacher Supplies from a former Brookfield Academy Teacher. Thank you, members, for stepping up and Jean Schindler for your supplies.
3rd Annual Back to School Bash was hosted by Wellpoint Care Network at St. Margret Mary School on 92nd and Capital Drive. At the event 1000 backpacks were distributed along with 300 Lead Safety Kits and Zero Water purification systems. Thank you, Doug and Janie Jacobson, Kate Bloomberg, Scott Dryburgh, Kim Nelson and Bill Selzer for volunteering your afternoon for a great event.
On August 7th, the Club held their Monthly Social at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in Brookfield. Twenty-two members gathered to enjoy a beautiful evening of socializing.
At the Brookfield Farmers Market, every Saturday, produce is picked up at the end of the market. A member, volunteers to go around to the various vendors and pick up unsold produce they would like to donate, which is then given to the Salvation Army Food Pantry.
