Rotarian John Schindler introduced Elm Grove Village President Jim Koleski, at the Sun Rise morning meeting. Jim has served as an Elm Grove resident volunteer on the Building Board since 2017, as a Trustee since 2022 and was elected President in 2023 after the retirement of former President Neal Palmer. Jim recognized Neal’s many dedicated years of service to the Village. He also recognized the previous Board and new Village Staff members.
“I would like to thank all the volunteers that support the Village serving on committees, supporting fund raising and investing their time and talents.”
He provided a quick review of past Village projects and focused on several ongoing and new ones.
- The daylighting of the Underwood Creek through the downtown area.
- Review and revision of the Downtown Master Plan.
- To support local businesses through engagement.
- The Mandel project at the former Sisters of Notre Dame property.
- Extension of Municipal Water west to the railroad tracks.
