The purposes of the Elmbrook (Brookfield) Rotary Foundation, Inc., as stated in the Articles of Incorporation, are to receive contributions and make distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501©(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or the corresponding provision of any future US Internal Revenue Law), and to engage in any activity relating to the foregoing purposes which is not prohibited by any provision of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or any successor thereof, as amended from time to time, and to invest in, receive, hold, use and dispose of all property, real or personal, as may be necessary or desirable to carry into effect the above mentioned purposes. 
 
In 2005 the Foundation established an endowment, the Elmbrook Rotary Foundation Scholarship Fund. The purpose of this Fund is to create a funding source to provide scholarships to worthy students from area high schools for their post-secondary education.
