Club members along with other area Rotarians take part in a tutoring program at Wellpoint in Milwaukee to support grade school students who have difficulty reading.

Book  Drive

2023 was our 5th year providing gently used and new reading books to Literacy Services of Wisconsin. This year we provided 275 books to students for their reading enjoyment.

 Elementary School Tutoring

The ERC has been tutoring elementary students for 14 years.  This past year ten Rotarian’s and spouses tutored 20 students at the 95 Street School, which is a Milwaukee Public School. We will be starting our 15th year this coming September.

Food Drives

We collect all types of food and dry goods for The Waukesha Food Pantry which in turn distributes the food to individuals and families throughout the year.

Habitat for Humanity
Several projects a year focusing on "lighter duty" new home construction like drywalling, flooring, or final prep before a home is awarded to the new owners
Magazine Drives The ERC has been donating magazines to the Brookfield Public Library for 6 years. This year the ERC collected over 240 used magazines. The library has a free magazine rack in their lobby that allows people to take magazines that are of interest.
Mini Grants
This is the core of our local donations. Dozens of local organizations will explain how they've used financial donations in the past to better serve their "clients". If they haven't received a grant in the past, they explain how said funds will help them better serve their "clients". Rotarians decide where our donations will go the furthest and distribute grants.
Plastic Bag Drive ERC Rotarian’s collected over 600 pounds of plastic bags this year. The bags were donated to a firm that turns the used bags into usable items, which keeps them out of landfills.
Ronald McDonald House Charities We volunteer at The Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee that is a home away from home from families whose children are receiving medical treatment locally.
Salvation Army Food Pantry
At the end of each Brookfield farmers market, Rotarians collect unsold produce from the vendors who would like to contribute. The produce is then taken to the Salvation army food pantry.  Over 2600 lbs were collected in 2022 alone.
Sharon Lynn Wilson Center Elmbrook Rotarians financially support some of the children's arts programs at the Sharon Lynn Wilson Center.
School Supply Drive
This was our 13th. year providing school supplies to elementary students. In 2021 we added the Wellpoint Care Network as an additional location where we provide school supplies to those in need.

Wilson Center Sponsor

Elmbrook Rotary Club was an early donor in the drive to build the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts. Dedicated to arts education and enrichment, the Center offers classes, performances, exhibits and lectures in visual and performing arts, as well as vital performance space for local area schools and students.

Waukesha Women's Center

Our members volunteer time and money to help reduce domestic violence and family conflict through advocacy, empowerment, violence prevention and intervention, services and education.

Wellpoint Care Network

Every holiday season, Club members share a wonderful evening of gifts, singing, food and fun with kids staying at this foster home on Milwaukee's west side. This program has grown into assisting with a community garden and mentorship of students.
