On October 29, Elmbrook Rotarian Larry Myers and son Christoph enjoyed the results of winning a set of tickets in the annual Elmbrook Rotary Club (ERC) Green Bay Packers Raffle.
Their comments say it all:
"The pre-game and half-time performances by the University of Wisconsin Marching Band were phenomenal. Likewise inspiring was the National Anthem flyover by F-35 fighter jets assigned to the 62d Fighter Squadron, Luke AFB, AZ."
Noticably absent from their comments is anything about the playing performance of the Packers in the 24-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. They did note that, once the stadium was filled to capacity, there were as many if not more purple, white, and gold in the seats than there were Green and Gold. Perhaps other raffle ticket winners will bring home a win.
Most importantly, the proceeds from the annual raffle will be used to assist community-based charities in meeting their mission goals and objectives. Thanks to all who participated by purchasing and selling tickets!
